PathFinder 6 Doors © of Stakeholder Engagement

Both the Principles of Engagement and Drivers of Engagement are the necessary ingredients for a relationship progression through the 6 Doors © of Stakeholder Engagement.

Stakeholder Analysis
  • Key to effective Stakeholder Engagement is the Analysis stage. At this stage there is a need to focus on the following:

    • Identification and delineation of stakeholders
    • Prioritisation of stakeholders, especially in terms of Influence, Interest, and/or level of Commitment.
    • Identify what would motivate the stakeholders
    • Conceptualise through a Concept Mapping process, the key issues, perceptions, and concepts that pertain to the Stakeholder Engagement project.
Stakeholder Planning
  • Our Principles of Engagement entail the merging of –

    • 4 Criteria for Meaningful Exchange
    • Diffusion Communication Practices
  • Since any new venture, idea, concept or message implies an 'innovation' of some sort to the receivers, namely the stakeholders, three of the Diffusion Communication Practices that are key are –

    • Rate of change concept adoption
    • Opinion leader/s impact
    • Communication integration

This then ensures a strategic platform for analysis and planning that is in the true spirit of 'Engagement', namely an emotional and moral commitment, promise, pledge and appointment with another person or other people.

The Drivers of Engagement need to be evolved strategically in a facilitated context and are situation as well as solution specific.

Both the Principles of Engagement and Drivers of Engagement are the necessary ingredients for a relationship progression through the 6 Doors © of Stakeholder Engagement.
